Tesamorelin is a synthetic, 44-amino-acid analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It works by binding to GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland, stimulating the natural, pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone. This rise in growth hormone triggers lipolysis (the breakdown of fat) to target and reduce deep abdominal visceral fat.
